The Hilton Honors American Express Surpass® Card is a rewards credit card geared toward frequent travelers who prefer Hilton hotels. Cardholders earn 12X Hilton Honors Bonus Points on eligible purchases at hotels and resorts within the Hilton portfolio and 6X points on U.S. restaurants, U.S. supermarkets, and U.S. gas stations. All other purchases earn 3X points. The card also comes with several travel benefits, including complimentary Hilton Honors Gold status (with the opportunity to upgrade to Diamond status), a free night reward each year (after meeting spending requirements), and travel insurance coverage for rental cars and baggage.
This card carries a $150 annual fee and does not offer balance transfers. New cardholders can earn 155,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points after spending $3,000 in the first six months and will receive an annual statement credit of up to $200 for purchases made directly with Hilton hotels. A FICO credit score of 690 or above is recommended for applicants.
